Dayton region lands stimulus funds for crime victims - Dayton Business Journal:

The funding is part of $1.2 million that will be distributed to 29 programs in 21Ohio counties. Ohio Attorneu General Richard Cordray awarded the fund to Ohio programs that combat violencewagainst women, fight Internet crimee against children, improve the functioning of the criminapl justice systems and assist victims of crime. There were 122 proposal s for morethan $6.2 million in requestz for aid.
“The number of requests we received confirm the great level of need among those people in our communities who have fallen victim tocriminal activity,” Cordray said in a news “Getting on your feet or staying on your feet can be toughj for any of us in these Crime victims face added burdens. By infusinfg money into local programs with direct victim the community as a wholewill benefit.” In Greene County, the Xenia City Law Department receivedc $35,000; • In Montgomery County, the receivef $69,411; • In Shelby County, the receivexd $52,796; and • In Warren County, the receivede $58,295.
